The SELLER and the BUYER are each referred to as a “Party” and together as the “Parties”.

Article 2 – Subject and Legal Basis

This agreement sets out the Parties' rights and obligations concerning the sale and delivery of products ordered electronically by the BUYER through bookidshop.com, whose specifications and prices are stated on the order page. It is governed by Türkiye's Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Regulation on Distance Contracts published in Official Gazette No. 29188 on 27 November 2014, as amended.

Before placing an order, the BUYER is provided with clear information about the SELLER's identity and contact details, the products' main characteristics, their prices including taxes, payment methods, delivery conditions and charges, and the right of withdrawal. The BUYER confirms that information electronically before completing the order.

Article 3 – Products, Prices and Payment

3.1. The product type, quantity, main characteristics, total price including taxes, delivery charge and payment method are those shown in the order summary, order confirmation email and invoice. These details form an integral part of this agreement.

3.2. Prices and offers displayed on the website remain valid until updated or changed. Time-limited prices apply until the stated expiry date.

3.3. The BUYER pays the delivery charge. It is shown separately at checkout before the order is confirmed and is included in the order total.

3.4. Payment is made using the methods offered at checkout, such as a credit or debit card. The SELLER does not store card details. Payments are processed through the secure infrastructure of a licensed payment institution.

Article 4 – General Provisions

4.1. The BUYER confirms that they have read the pre-contract information about the products' main characteristics, price, payment method and delivery and have given the required electronic confirmation.

4.2. The products are delivered to the BUYER or the person or organisation at the address specified by the BUYER within the period stated when ordering, taking the delivery location into account and without exceeding the statutory 30-day period.

4.3. The SELLER is responsible for supplying the products in sound and complete condition, with the characteristics stated in the order and with any applicable warranty documents and instructions.

4.4. If the products are to be delivered to someone other than the BUYER, the SELLER is not responsible for that person's or organisation's refusal to accept delivery.

4.5. If fulfilment becomes impossible, the SELLER informs the BUYER clearly within 3 days after becoming aware of the situation and refunds all payments, including delivery charges, within 14 days after that notice.

4.6. Delivery requires payment through the method selected by the BUYER. If the price is not paid or the payment is cancelled in the bank's records, the SELLER is released from the obligation to deliver.

4.7. If extraordinary circumstances, such as severe weather, a natural disaster, an epidemic, a strike or transport disruption, prevent timely delivery, the SELLER informs the BUYER. The BUYER may request cancellation or agree to postpone delivery until the obstruction ends. If the order is cancelled, the amount paid is refunded within 14 days.

Article 5 – Delivery

5.1. Orders are handed to our contracted courier within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation. Transit time depends on the delivery address. Delivery is completed no later than 30 days after the SELLER receives the order.

5.2. Delivery is made to the address provided at checkout. Please inspect the parcel on delivery. If it is crushed, broken, torn or damaged, ask the courier to record the damage and contact us. These steps do not limit the BUYER's statutory rights concerning defective goods.

5.3. The Delivery and Returns page contains further delivery and return conditions and forms part of this agreement.

Article 6 – Right of Withdrawal

6.1. Subject to the statutory exceptions in Article 7, the BUYER may withdraw within 14 days after the product is delivered to the BUYER or the person or organisation at the address specified by the BUYER, without giving a reason or paying a penalty.

6.2. The BUYER must send a clear withdrawal notice within that period to info@bookidshop.com or in writing to the SELLER's address above. The telephone numbers above are available for assistance.

6.3. The BUYER sends the product back to the return address above within 14 days after notifying the SELLER of withdrawal, with any supplied accessories and promotional gifts and the invoice if available. Article 6.6 and the statutory exceptions in Article 7 remain applicable.

6.4. The BUYER is not charged return shipping when using the courier specified for returns in the pre-contract information. If no return courier was specified there, the BUYER is not charged return shipping when using a courier of their choice. The SELLER pays return shipping for defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied products.

6.5. The SELLER refunds the product price and any initial delivery charge within 14 days after the BUYER hands the product to the return courier. If the BUYER uses a courier other than the one specified in the pre-contract information, that period starts when the SELLER receives the product. For products not yet delivered, it starts when the SELLER receives the withdrawal notice. Refunds are made in a single payment through the payment method used for the purchase, without an additional charge. The time a card refund takes to appear depends on the bank.

6.6. The BUYER is not responsible for changes or deterioration resulting from use in accordance with the product's function, technical specifications and instructions during the withdrawal period. The BUYER is responsible for any other loss in value, subject to applicable law. The statutory exceptions in Article 7 remain applicable.

Article 7 – Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

Under Article 15 of the Regulation on Distance Contracts, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Books, digital content on a physical medium and computer consumables whose protective packaging, tape, seal or wrapping has been opened after delivery;
  • Products made to the BUYER's specifications or personalised for the BUYER;
  • Sealed products that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once their packaging has been opened;
  • Newspapers and magazines, except those supplied under a subscription agreement;
  • Services performed immediately in an electronic environment and intangible goods delivered immediately to the BUYER.

These exceptions do not remove the BUYER's statutory rights concerning defective goods.

Article 8 – Default and Legal Consequences

If the BUYER defaults on a credit-card payment, the BUYER is responsible to the card-issuing bank for interest and other obligations arising under their card agreement.

Article 9 – Personal Data

The BUYER's personal data is processed in accordance with Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 to receive and fulfil orders, collect payment, deliver products, manage returns and meet legal obligations. Further details are available in the website's Privacy Policy.

Article 10 – Dispute Resolution

For disputes arising from this agreement, Consumer Arbitration Committees within the monetary limits announced annually by Türkiye's Ministry of Trade and Consumer Courts at the BUYER's place of residence or the place of the consumer transaction have jurisdiction.

Article 11 – Entry into Force

By completing payment for an order through the website, the BUYER accepts the terms of this agreement. The agreement takes effect when the order reaches the SELLER.
